Your first visit includes both assessment and treatment so we can identify the problem and begin addressing it right away.
Whether you're dealing with ongoing pain, a recent injury—this is where you start.

Your treatment plan is never a one-size-fits-all service. Every session is guided by your assessment findings, goals, and how your body responds over time.
Our approach is designed to help you:

Every visit begins with a focused assessment so we can understand what’s actually driving your pain or restriction—not just where it hurts.
This visit also allows us to determine whether follow-up care may be beneficial for your goals.

Your first visit also includes hands-on treatment. Based on your needs, your provider may use targeted clinical bodywork techniques and recovery tools to begin addressing the issue right away.

Before you leave, you’ll have a clearer understanding of what’s going on, what may help most, and whether follow-up care, corrective exercise, or recovery support is recommended. Many clients benefit from a series of follow-up sessions to support lasting change.
Your provider may recommend:

No. You do not need a diagnosis or prescription to begin care at ABW. Many clients come to us directly for help with pain, tension, movement limitations, or recovery support. If we believe a higher level of medical evaluation would be appropriate, we will let you know.
We do not bill insurance directly. However, we can provide documentation for possible reimbursement. HSA/FSA eligibility may depend on your individual plan.
To make the most of your 1st visit:
• Wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement
• Bring any relevant imaging or reports if you have them
• Be prepared to discuss your symptoms and goals
This varies from person to person. Some clients feel significant improvement quickly, while others benefit from a short series of visits to create more lasting change.
